NOW Program
Newcomer Orientation Week (NOW):
An intensive one week program where newcomer students are oriented to the school, school personnel, school rules and routines by means of fun activities lead by peers. The program runs the week before school starts.
This year it will be running from: ____________ to _____________, at Bramalea SS. If you are new to Canada or know someone who may benefit from such a program, please contact School Settlement Worker Asma Khan.
This service is offered through Brampton Multicultural Community Centre, in Partnership with Peel District School Board, Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board and Funded By Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Schedule: 8:30-4:00, Monday’s Tuesday’s and Fridays

The Settlement Worker can help you by providing settlement information and referral services to various School, Community and Government resources such as orientation on Education and School system, Housing, Employment help, Health care, Legal and other issues
Ongoing activities within B.S.S.
© Provide orientation to newcomer students and families on the Community, School and education system to Parents and Youth of B.S.S.
© Information sessions for parents and youth on various topics of interest.
© Support School events such as parent teacher interview nights, and welcome parents and students to the school
© Carry out NOW program in collaboration with staff and students of B.S.S.
